Steve Taylor

Growing up in  Illinois, in the ‘40s, life and times were simple for Steve.  With no computors or TV, he found that singing and drawing got him alot of attention so paper, pencil and radio were his best friends.  At the age of 10, his family moved to Arizona for a year and a half.  When they moved back to Illinois, the West was still in his blood so he moved back to Arizona after high school in 1957.  He recalls riding horseback in downtown Scottsdale where he fell in love with the “Cowboy Way”.  Then he attended Trinity Bible College back in Chicago where he sang, recorded and toured with the Trinity Ambassadors Quartet.  Back in Arizona, and through many occupations, Steve became a commercial artist, an actor, poet, singer-songwriter and musician.  Steve says, “I thank God every day for bringing me and JoAnn to the beautiful White Mountains of Arizona, where the ‘Cowboy Way’ is still a way of life and for leading me to play the harmonica, sing and tour with the Mountain Saddle Band”.
